About Halo by California Movers USA

Halo by California Movers USA is a San Francisco moving company built around complete care. We plan local, long-distance, and interstate moves, confirm the scope before moving day, and keep one team responsible from the first walkthrough to final placement.

Our movers are trained company employees. We do not subcontract crews or hand your belongings to an unknown third party. A sales specialist, dispatcher, lead foreman, and moving crew work from the same plan.

The result is a clear price, a prepared crew, and one company accountable for the entire move.

Built in San Francisco

California Movers USA was founded in San Francisco by Anton Halushko. The company learned the moving business in a city where access can be harder than distance.

A San Francisco move may involve steep hills, narrow staircases, small elevators, limited loading space, parking restrictions, and building insurance requirements. These conditions must be checked before the crew arrives.

That is why we review more than the number of bedrooms. We look at the inventory, entrances, stairs, elevators, walking distance, parking, building rules, and items that require extra protection.

Our experience in San Francisco shaped the way we plan every move: confirm the details first, send the right crew, bring the right protection, and keep the customer informed.

Today, we handle moves throughout the Bay Area, across California, and between states.

From California Movers USA to Halo

Halo is not a separate company replacing California Movers USA. It is the new identity of the company Anton Halushko founded more than 10 years ago.

California Movers USA began as a traditional moving company. The business grew, the team completed more moves, and the service expanded beyond loading and transportation. Customers needed help with planning, packing, building access, protection, storage, payment timing, and communication throughout the move.

After 15,000+ completed moves, the original name no longer described the full service behind the truck.

The company became Halo by California Movers USA to reflect how it works today. One team plans the move, protects the property, handles the belongings, coordinates the schedule, and stays responsible through delivery.

The California Movers USA name remains part of the brand because the experience, operating history, and people behind the company have not changed.

Why the Name Halo

The name Halo comes from the founder’s surname, Halushko. It keeps the new brand connected to the person who started the company and the team that built it.

The rebrand also marks a practical change in the customer experience. Halo provides clearer planning, detailed service inclusions, trained in-house crews, dedicated coordination, and a payment option that may let eligible customers divide part of the moving balance into four payments.

The name changed because the company grew. The responsibility stayed with the same team.

What Complete Care Means at Halo

Complete care is not a general promise. It is a defined process with a person responsible at every stage.

  1. We collect the details

A sales specialist asks for the pickup and delivery addresses, moving date, home size, inventory, access conditions, and requested services. The goal is to understand the actual job before assigning a price or crew.

  2. We verify the scope

A video walkthrough or onsite inspection can confirm the items being moved, stairs, elevators, parking, walking distance, building rules, and specialty items. This step reduces surprises on moving day.

  3. We put the plan in writing

The written quote identifies the pricing model, confirmed scope, included services, and deposit. Hourly and flat-rate moves are explained differently because they are calculated differently.

  4. We assign the team

A dispatcher coordinates the schedule, truck, crew, and building requirements. A lead foreman reviews the job and manages the crew onsite.

  5. We protect the home and belongings

The crew protects furniture, mattresses, electronics, artwork, mirrors, floors, walls, and hallways as required by the confirmed move. Furniture is disassembled when needed for safe handling.

  6. We handle the move

The same company remains responsible for loading, transportation, delivery, reassembly, and placement. The customer does not need to coordinate separate labor and truck providers.

  7. We finish with placement

At delivery, the team reassembles approved furniture and places items in the requested rooms. The foreman confirms that the agreed scope has been completed before the crew leaves.

The Team Behind Every Move

A move is easier to manage when every person has a clear job. Halo assigns responsibility before moving day instead of leaving the customer to coordinate the process alone.

In-House Movers, Never Subcontracted

Halo uses trained company employees for its moving crews. We do not hire an unknown labor team for a booked job or transfer responsibility after the truck is loaded.

Movers complete background checks and company training. The crew receives the confirmed plan before arriving, and the lead foreman is responsible for following it onsite.

This structure matters when a move involves building rules, fragile items, stairs, a long carry, packing, storage, or more than one destination. The people doing the work need the same information as the people who prepared the quote.

The customer books Halo. Halo performs the move.

What Is Included With Your Move

Our pricing is built around a defined service package. The exact scope appears in the written quote, but the standard moving service includes the operational elements below. The full service categories are available on our moving services page.

If the customer adds inventory, packing, stops, storage, or a different destination, the company reviews the change as a new part of the scope. A scope change is not a hidden fee. It is a documented change to the work requested.

Clear Pricing Before Moving Day

Halo uses hourly and flat-rate pricing because the same model does not fit every move.

Hourly pricing

The standard local package is $175 per hour for two movers and a truck. It is designed for moves where time is the clearest way to measure the work. Inventory, access, distance, and requested services still need to be reviewed before booking.

Flat-rate pricing

A flat rate is used when the company can define the complete scope in advance. The price is based on the confirmed inventory, route, access, services, and other job requirements. The approved price covers the written scope.

Scope changes

A price can be reviewed when the requested work changes. Examples include additional furniture, new packing requests, an added stop, storage, a different destination, or access conditions that were not disclosed. The change should be explained before the additional work is performed whenever possible.

The full rules for both models are explained in our moving pricing policy.

A Deposit Reserves the Move

A deposit is required to reserve the moving date, crew, and truck. It is part of the booking process and is credited according to the written payment terms provided with the quote.

Halo accepts the payment methods supported by its current checkout and invoicing systems. Customers receive the amount due, payment instructions, and applicable timing before confirming the transaction.

Four-Payment Flexibility With Afterpay

Eligible customers may use Afterpay for an approved portion of the moving balance. This can help a customer keep more cash available for rent, deposits, travel, utilities, or other moving expenses.

Afterpay evaluates the transaction and shows the available amount, payment schedule, and current terms in its app. Halo cannot approve the customer, change the available amount, or guarantee that the complete move will qualify.

A customer may be able to cover the approved part through Afterpay and pay the remaining balance with another accepted method. The actual combination depends on the invoice and the decision shown by Afterpay.

The deposit, accepted payment methods, and provider-controlled process are explained on the payment page.

Moving Services for Real California Moves

Customers do not all need the same type of crew or service. Halo builds the plan around the property, inventory, route, access, and level of help requested.

Local and residential moving

Our local moving service covers moves within the local service area and other jobs where time is the practical pricing model. Residential work may include houses, condominiums, studios, and multi-room homes. For buildings with elevators, loading windows, stairs, or limited parking, our apartment movers review access before moving day.

Office moving

Our office moving team plans around business access, equipment, furniture, building requirements, and the schedule. The goal is to move the confirmed inventory without leaving the business to coordinate separate labor and transportation.

Packing and item preparation

Customers can add packing services for a full home, selected rooms, fragile items, or another confirmed part of the inventory. Packing is planned before the crew arrives so the team brings the required materials and time.

Furniture and specialty items

A furniture-only move may involve one item, several rooms, a delivery, or furniture that requires careful disassembly. Pianos and other specialty items need separate planning because weight, dimensions, stairs, turns, and destination access can change the crew and equipment required. Customers moving a piano can review our piano moving service before requesting the quote.

Senior moving

Our senior moving service can combine planning, packing, furniture handling, transportation, reassembly, and room-by-room placement. A family member or authorized contact can be included in the coordination when requested.

Storage

When pickup and delivery cannot happen on the same schedule, moving and storage may be added to the confirmed plan. The inventory, storage period, handling requirements, and final delivery need to be documented before booking.

Long-distance and interstate moving

Our long-distance movers build a flat-rate plan around inventory, mileage, access, packing, stops, destination conditions, and timing. A move that crosses a state line is handled through our interstate moving service. The written plan must identify the shipment, route, pickup, delivery process, payment terms, and applicable protection options.

Where Halo Moves

Halo is based in San Francisco and serves customers across the Bay Area, throughout California, and on long-distance routes leaving the state. The California service area includes major cities, surrounding counties, and routes connecting Northern and Southern California.

San Francisco and the Bay Area

Our San Francisco movers plan for hills, parking, older buildings, narrow access, elevators, loading areas, and certificate of insurance requirements. Bay Area moves may connect San Francisco with Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Fremont, Palo Alto, and surrounding communities.

Moves across California

Customers moving to or from Los Angeles, San Diego, or Sacramento receive a plan based on the actual route and property conditions at both ends.

A route such as San Francisco to Los Angeles requires more than a mileage calculation. Inventory size, packing, stairs, parking, truck access, stops, and delivery conditions all affect the plan.

State-to-state moves

The state-to-state moving hub covers routes from California to other states. For example, a San Francisco to Seattle move needs a confirmed inventory, interstate documentation, pickup plan, delivery expectations, and a clear contact during transportation.

How San Francisco Experience Changes the Plan

A moving company can know the destination and still arrive unprepared. In San Francisco, a few blocks can change the parking, walking distance, truck access, or number of stairs.

Halo asks about these conditions before moving day because the quote, crew size, schedule, and equipment should reflect the property the crew will actually enter.

Protection and Accountability

Halo is licensed and insured for the moving services it performs (License CAL-T203846). Protection starts with accurate planning, trained handling, and clear documentation. Insurance and valuation are not interchangeable terms, so the applicable protection must be explained for the type of move being booked.

The crew protects the home and belongings within the confirmed scope. Customers should identify high-value, fragile, oversized, or unusual items before accepting the quote so the company can determine the correct packing, handling, and documentation.

If a building requires a certificate of insurance, the customer should provide the property requirements before moving day. If an item is damaged, the customer should notify the company promptly and preserve photographs, inventory records, and other supporting information for the claims process.

Clear protection starts before the truck is loaded. The item, condition, access, and required handling need to be part of the plan.

Halo Compared With a Typical Moving Booking

What the customer needs Typical unclear booking Halo approach
Crew responsibility The crew may be assigned through another provider. Halo uses trained in-house employees and does not subcontract the moving crew.
Pricing An estimate may not explain what is included. The written quote identifies the pricing model, scope, and included services.
Move planning Access may be discussed after the crew arrives. Inventory and access can be checked by video or onsite walkthrough before booking.
Coordination The customer may speak with different outside parties. A sales specialist, dispatcher, lead foreman, and crew work from the same plan.
Furniture handling Disassembly and protection may be separate charges. Confirmed furniture handling and standard protection are included in the service scope.
Payment timing The full balance may need to be paid through standard methods. Eligible customers may use Afterpay for an approved part of the moving balance.
Accountability Responsibility may change between booking and delivery. Halo remains the company responsible for the confirmed move.
Anton Halushko, founder of Halo by California Movers USA

Meet Founder Anton Halushko

Anton Halushko founded California Movers USA in San Francisco and built the company through direct experience with local moving operations. The company grew from a traditional mover into a full-service operation handling local, California, long-distance, and interstate moves.

The Halo name comes from Anton’s surname. It keeps the founder’s identity connected to the company while giving the expanded service model a clearer name.

The operating standard is practical: understand the move, put the scope in writing, assign responsible people, protect the property, and keep the company accountable through delivery.

Halo is founder-led, but the customer experience does not depend on reaching one person. The sales, dispatch, foreman, crew, and customer service roles make the standard repeatable across different moves.

Who We Move

Halo works with students, individuals, couples, families, seniors, military customers, property managers, and businesses. The service is not built around one home size or customer profile.

The plan changes with the move. The service standard does not.

The more accurate the inventory and access information, the more useful the written plan will be. Include stairs, elevators, parking, long carries, fragile items, packing, storage, and additional stops before booking whenever possible.
